The House says...
Poland had a disappointing loss againt Italy on their last match. The Italians controlled that match all throughout and Poland just had no answer. With that loss, they lose the hope of progressing to the Nations League finals. Mathematically though, they are still in contention. For them to progress, they have to win this match against Netherlands and hope that Bosnia will beat Italy, an event deemed to be unlikely, but the Polish might as well try.
Netherlands convincingly won their last match against Bosnia 3-1 and their hopes of advancing in the Nations League finals is still alive. It was Frank de Boer's first win in charge and he would ideally make few changes against Poland. Wijnaldum was handed the captain's armband and the Liverpool man responded well by scoring 2 goals early in the match.
Both teams will hope Bosnia can beat Italy so they would at least have a chance, but both teams must do their parts first. It's a must win for either side and it will surely be an interesting fixture. Netherlands may have won their last match but they were generally not that impressive since Frank de Boer took over. That, and the fact that Poland are no pushovers especially headed by the superstar striker Lewandowski. And they play at Home too! I am picking Poland here.

The Netherlands aim to clinch a finals slot when they host Poland in Group 1 of League A in the Nations League. Predictions and odds for this Netherlands versus Poland match to be played at Stadion Slaski Chorzow are available.

The Dutch kept their final four hope alive after upending visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 in their last game.

Frank de Boer got his first win as Netherlands boss as two goals from midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum led them to a 3-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina. Forward Memphis Depay netted the other goal of the Dutch squad.

A friendly defeat to Mexico and three consecutive draws, most recently against Spain on Friday, marked an inauspicious start for Ronald Koeman's successor with Oranje.

The Dutch are second in the group with eight points, one below Italy and a point over third placers Poland, with last placers Bosnia Herzegovina at fourth with two points and headed to relegation.

Poland lost at Italy 2-0 but are still in contention and must win over the Dutch and pray that Italy lose to Bosnia-Herzegovina o clinch top spot in the group.

Under the format, in the top league (League A), the winners of the four groups go on to play in the finals, with two semi-finals, one third and fourth place decider, and one final to decide which team becomes the champion.

Starting in 2020-21, each group winner (there are four groups in Leagues A, B, and C, and two groups in League D) except for League A, who will go on to play in the finals, is automatically promoted to the next higher league for the next tournament.

Each team placing last in its group in the Leagues A and B is automatically relegated to the next lower league; as League C has four groups while League D has only two, the two League C teams that are to be relegated are determined by play-outs beginning in March 2022.
