The House says...
Manchester United will have their first match of the season against Crystal Palace. They finished last season strongly, but was disappointed by the eventual Europa League champions Sevilla. Aside from Donny van de Beek, they were relatively quiet this transfer window and will face the new season with virtually what they had last season.
Crystal Palace hosted Southampton on their first match of the season and got away with an 1-0 win. It was such a classic Palace 1-0 win. They were disappointing at the end of last season, but judging by their first match of the new season, it seems they are rejuvenated. They did however lost to Bournemouth in the EFL Cup thru Penalties. Wilfred Zaha has moved up top on a 4-4-2 formation and I expect that to continue.
Manchester United ended last season on a high note. Out of the 19 Home matches last season, Manchester United won only 10 -- a good number but certainly not good enough for a club their size. In comparison, Sheffield United had the same number of Home wins last season. They also drew their last 2 Home matches last season. On the other hand, Crystal Palace were impressive on their first match this season. Manchester United can surely win, but the handicap here is a little too high for me so I am picking Crystal Palace.
Asian Handicap
Crystal Palace +1.5

Crystal Palace aim for their second win in a row in the new season of the Premier League when they visit Manchester United. Predictions and odds for this Manchester United vs Crystal Palace match to be played behind closed doors at Old Trafford are available.

The Eagles soared to a 1-0 win at home over Southampton on opening day.

A volley by forward Wilfried Zaha in the 13th minute was enough for Rodger Hodgson’s side to down the Saints at Selhurst Park.

Zaha, from Ivory Coast, was left unmarked when he produced a clinical finish from Andros Townsend's superb cross. Before this season, Zaha has repeatedly been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park but he stayed.

Palace finished at 14th place last season, whilst the Red Devils wound up fourth in the 20-team cast.

United head into this game following a loss to Aston Villa 1-0 in a friendly at Villa Park.

Semifinalist in the Europa League last season, United will be looking to start their quest on a victorious style.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main men against the Eagles will be Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood as well as goalkeeper David de Gea. Martial and Anthony finished with similar 18 goals scored the past season. Greenwood had 10 goals, whilst Fernandes had eight.

Hodgson will once again rely on Zaha, who has a contract until 2022-23. Zaha scored four goals in the league last season.

Jordan Ayew is also a danger man for the Eagles, who had a 1-1 draw against Danish squad Brondby in a friendly before beating Southampton. Ayew led Crystal Palace in scoring last season with nine goals.

In their last league collision, United beat hosts Crystal Palace 2-0, whilst Palace won 2-1 the last time they paid a visit to United.
