The House says...
Chelsea did some business in this transfer window. They won their first match of the season against Brighton. New signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz was already inserted in the starting lineup by Frank Lampard. Timo Werner was quite active, Kai Havertz less so.
Liverpool had a very entertaining first match of the season, to say the least. League Championship winners Leeds United went to Anfield and did not back down against the defending champions. Match ended 4-3 in favour of Liverpool thanks to a hat-trick from Mo Salah. They will now go to Chelsea and will test the Blues' virtually new team.
Even though Liverpool and Chelsea scored 4 and 3 goals, respectively, on their first match, facing each other will not result to the same number of goals. Highly anticipated match for sure, but the line is a little too high here. Of their last 13 head-to-head matches, only their last match was Over 3. I am picking the Unders here.

Defending champions Liverpool visit Chelsea as both clubs look to nail their second straight win in the new season of the Premier League. Predictions and odds for this Chelsea vs Liverpool match to be played behind closed doors at Stamford Bridge are available.

Both sides won their opening matches, with Liverpool subduing promoted squad Leeds United 3-0 at Anfield, and Chelsea succeeding at Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1.

Last season, the Reds won their first league title since 1990, the club’s first of the Premier League era. The Blues, meanwhile, wound up fourth.

Mohamed Salah’s penalty shot in the 88th minute lifted the Reds past Leeds, the Championship winners the past season, in a dramatic duel at Anfield.

Salah took the limelight in that match as he completed a hat-trick. He also scored in the fourth and 33rd minutes.

At Brighton, Chelsea were led by Jorginho, Reece James and K Zouma, with James and Kurt Happy Zouma  scoring their goals after Leandro Trossard equalised for Brighton in the 54th. Jorginho earlier pushed the Blues to a 1-0 lead after just four minutes.

For this duel, Salah and Sadio Mane will keep the Blues’ defenders busy. Salah scored 19 goals in the league last season as well as issuing 10 assists, whilst Mane netted 18.

Jurgen Klopp will also depend on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson, who had 13 and 12 assists, respectively last season. Goalkeeper Alisson, with 13 clean sheets the past term, will also be a huge factor for the Reds.

The Blues will be led by Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud. Last campaign, Abraham scored 15 goals in the league, Pulisic had nine and Giroud had eight.

The Reds won at home over the Blues 5-3 in their last league showdown. In their last league meeting at Stamford Bridge, the Reds nipped the Blues 2-1.
