The Conspiracy Theorist says...
FC Tokyo were held to a 2-2 draw by Vissel Kobe in their recent matchup, with the home team scoring a 90th minute goal to guarantee a point. Although they are yet to be beaten in away games, they have picked up fewer points here as they drew 5 out of their last 7 trips. They are 3rd in the league right now, and will take advantage of 3 straight home ties to get more points.
Oita Trinita finally got a deserving win as they hammered Vegalta Sendai 0-3 in their away trip last week. It was their first win in 5 matches, and picking up those 3 points now push them up to 13th place. They play away from home again on their upcoming match, and will need the same showing as last week to be able to match up against a top-3 team like FC Tokyo.
Tokyo have won 3 out of their last 4 home games, and will be eager to pick up maximum points in their next 3 straight home fixtures. They escaped with a 0-1 victory in the reverse fixture just 2 weeks ago, but now Oita Trinita will be looking for revenge fresh from a comfortable win in their last game. Nevertheless, Tokyo have more consistency and are more well-rounded in this matchup, and with the handicap only at 0.75, it's going to be a good bet for me.

Tokyo set their sights on second place as they host Oita Trinita in the J1 League. Predictions and odds for this Tokyo vs Oita trinita match to be played behind closed doors at Ajinomoto Stadium are available.

The second placers the past season, Tokyo were held to a 2-2 draw at Vissel Kobe in their last game, snapping a three-game winning run in their last five games in Japan’s top-flight football competition.

Before that draw, Tokyo won 3-1 at Gamba Osaka, 1-0 at Oita Trinita and 2-1 at home over Yokohams

Kenta Hasegawa’s men lost just once in their last five league fixtures, 2-1 at home to Kashima Antlers.

HOSTS FORCE DRAW

In that draw at Vissel Kobe, Tokyo were up 2-1 after the 58th-minute strike of Diego Oliveira but the hosts managed to get the equaliser in the 93rd minute through Dankler.

After 17 games, Tokyo sit third with 32 points and trail second placers Cerezo Osaka (15 games so far) by a point. Tokyo are also up by five ponts over fourth placers Nagoya Grampus (14 games).

Trinita are out to halt a five-game winless skid. Their last game saw them battling visiting Shonan Bellmare, the bottom-side, to a 2-2 draw.

Tomohiro Katanasoka’s men rallied from a 0-2 deficit to salvage the draw behind the goals of Toshio Shimakawa and Kohei Isa in the 78th and 88th minutes, respectively.

Prior to that draw, Trinita drew 1-1 at Consadole Sapporo, 0-0 at home against Kashiwa Reysol, and lost 2-1 at Urawa Reds and at home 1-0 to Tokyo.

Tokyo beat Oita in their last seven J1 League meetings, the latest being 1-0 at Oita Trinita. The last time they met at Ajinomoto Stadium Tokyo won 3-1.
