Salah tests positive for Covid-19
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Daily Mail reported that Salah tested positive days after he partied at his brother’s wedding in Cairo, Egypt.
On Friday, the Egyptian Football Federation said that Salah returned a positive test but is not displaying any symptoms.
The 28-year-old Salah will now self-isolate and could miss the Reds’ next two fixtures.
Liverpool face visiting Leicester City in the Premier League on Nov. 22, followed by a Champions League tie against Atalanta at Anfield on Nov 25.
Salah has started all eight of Liverpool's Premier League games this season, scoring eight goals.
He was the only one who tested positive as the other members of the Egyptian squad had tested negative.
Egypt will host Togo in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on Saturday, to be followed by the reverse fixture in Togo on Tuesday.
